Object history
Deutsch: Die von den früheren Gemeinden Ellrichshausen, Gröningen und Satteldorf im zweiten und dritten Jahrzehnt dieses Jahrhunderts festgelegten Wappen sind am 1. Januar 1974 bei der Vereinigung, zur neuen Gemeinde Satteldorf erloschen. Am 13. Oktober 1980 beschloss der Gemeinderat des neuen Gemeinwesens die Wiederaufnahme des „redenden" Wappens der gleichnamigen kommunalen Vorgängerin. Die württembergischen Farben Schwarz und Gold sollen auf die allen drei Orten seit dem 19. Jahrhundert gemeinsame territoriale Zugehörigkeit hinweisen. Das Landratsamt Schwäbisch Hall hat das Wappen samt der Flagge am 4. November 1980 verliehen.
