Object history
Deutsch: Die am 1. Januar 1973 zur Stadt erhobene Gemeinde verwendete 1930 ein Dienstsiegel, in dessen Schild über einem naturalistischen Berg eine nach heraldisch rechts geöffnete Hafte zu sehen war. Wahrscheinlich handelte es sich dabei um eine auf Missverständnissen beruhende Abwandlung des Wappens der Herren von Schrozberg, das über einem Sparren eine liegende Schafschere zeigt. Da die Hafte mangels inhaltlicher Begründung nicht befriedigte und weil auch die Gültigkeit des Stempelwappens nicht nachgewiesen werden konnte, legte die Gemeinde mit Beratung der Archivdirektion Stuttgart das jetzige Wappen fest, das vom Innenministerium am 23. April 1963 samt der Flagge verliehen wurde. Der grüne Berg bezieht sich auf den Ortsnamen, während die Kornblume auf die Landwirtschaft hinweisen soll.
