Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde am 7. Januar 1936 durch den Oberpräsidenten der Rheinprovinz, Josef Terboven, verliehen. Es ist dem Gerichtssiegel des Verwaltungsbezirks Pflege Sohren nachgebildet. Das Siegelbild mit der Unterschrift „DES.GERICHTS.SORN..“ zeigt einen geschachteten Querbalken mit einer Helmkrone darüber. Der geschachtete Balken ist Zeichen der Sponheimer. Die goldene Krone verweist auf deren Reichsstandschaft. Der Wappenentwurf entstammt dem Staatsarchiv Koblenz.
