Object history
Deutsch: Von 1415 bis 1791 stand Thiersheim unter der Herrschaft der einstigen Burggrafen von Nürnberg und späteren Markgrafen von Brandenburg. Der Ort hatte bereits 1415 Stadtcharakter. Aus dem Jahr 1430 ist der Abdruck eines Siegels überliefert, das aus der Zeit der Ortsherrschaft der Markgrafen von Meißen seit 1393 stammt. Das Bild zeigt den Löwen der Markgrafen von Meißen in einem Torbau mit Turm. In einem Siegel aus dem späten 16. Jahrhundert weist die Umschrift darauf hin, dass Thiersheim nicht mehr Stadt ist sondern Markt. Im Schild steht der Torbau mit kuppelartigen Aufsätzen. In einer farbigen Abbildung von 1581 ist der Schild geteilt von Silber und Schwarz, belegt mit einem rotbewehrten goldenen Löwen. 1767 taucht erstmals ein schachbrettartiger Boden auf. In einer Zeichnung von 1812 erscheint der golden bewehrte schwarze Löwe im roten Bogenfeld.
