Deutsch: Die Wappendarstellung mit dem halbierten roten Kreuz und den Farben blau-weiß-blau nimmt Bezug auf die frühere territoriale Zugehörigkeit zum Kurfürstentum Trier und auf die Familie von der Leyen, die in Urbar Einkunftsrechte besaß. Durch die Darstellung von Traube und Ähre wird auf die durch Weinbau und Landwirtschaft geprägte Struktur Urbars hingewiesen.
