Notes The main characters of the scene have features of Queen Marie Louise Gonzaga, King's mistress Katarzyna Franciszka Denhoffowa and 10 years old Jan Kazimierz Denhoff, future cardinal and possibly King's illegitimate son, as young Jesus. Ambitous Queen Marie Louise commissioned the painting to ingratiate Denhoffowa who had a great influence over the King - Marcin Latka (Artinpl).
