Summary[edit]

Description
English: Sailor suit of a Norwegian sailor in the Royal Danish Navy during the Napoleonic wars at the beginning of the 19th century. Jacket, waistcoat, and long button-flap trousers with an attached fall-front (or broad fall). Mannequin dressed in a reconstructed uniform outfit of the time, on display in the exhibitions of the Royal Norwegian Navy Museum in Horten, Norway. In 1814, Denmark and Norway were separated relatively peacefully, after more than 300 years together. At the same time, the Common Fleet was split into the Royal Danish Navy and the Royal Norwegian Navy.
