Randall Bytwerk, Professor of Communication Arts and Sciences at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan (USA) 1985-2014, writes about Nazi posters and Das politische Plakat at his "German Propaganda Archive" web pages: "This interesting poster appeared in 1932. The usual approach with posters is to use color to make them stand out. This one stands out because of Hitler’s disembodied face floating on a black background. (...) the outward impression is a harmonious whole. Peacefulness, strength, and goodness speak to the viewer from Hitler’s face. The impression of a spiritually pure man has to be good. (...)"
