Summary[edit]

Description

In 1915, Dave's great grandfather, who was the operator of the pump, was shot to death by his supervisor, the Hoquiam city engineer, on this site.

After the demise of Grays Harbor City, a wooden water line was built to Hoquiam, three miles away, and this part of the Little Hoquiam River supplied water to Hoquiam city. Being by the sea, these rivers are tidal, so they had to take water from well upstream to not get any salt.
