David Denny aboard the Rainier Power and Railway Company's streetcar, 1892

Description

David T. Denny appears at the front of the car on the right. David Denny, Jr. appears at the end of the car. Denny, Sr. was an investor of the Rainier Power and Railway Company but lost many of his investments in the financial crisis of 1893. The photograph is taken at the south end of Lake Union. The streetcar route ran along Eastlake Avenue and across the Latona Bridge to the University District.
