Dutch/English De Noorder Els gelegen in de Biesbosch in Dordrecht is geen sloot zoals veel mensen denken. De Noorder Els is een kreek en uitloper van het Noorderdiep. Die op zijn beurt zijn weg vindt vanuit het Zuid Maartengat komend uit het Hollandsdiep. De Noorderels waar we nu op kijken is tegenwoordig onderbroken door een dijk, de Zuid Westdijk zodat we beschermd zijn tegen het getijde water. Want vergeet niet alles blijft daar droog dankzij de inpoldering aangestuurd door Dr. Stoop. Hoe discutabel de wijze waarop ook was. Overigens zijn alle watertjes, watergangen en uitlopers ontstaan door de St. Elisabethvloed in 1421. The Noorder Els located in the Biesbosch in Dordrecht (Holland) - Netherlands) is not a ditch as many people think. The Noorder Els is a creek and spur of the Noorderdiep. Which in turn finds its way from the Zuid Maartengat coming from the Hollandsdiep. The Noorderels that we are now looking at is now interrupted by a dike, the South Westdijk, so that we are protected against the tidal water. Because don't forget everything stays dry there thanks to the reclamation led by Dr. Stoop. How debatable the way it was. Incidentally, all streams and waterways are created by the St. Elisabeth flood in 1421. |
