Omschrijving: De Revolutie, allegorische decoratie opgericht op het Koningsplein te Amsterdam bij het Alliantiefeest op 19 juni 1795. Afgeknotte zuil met ovaal chassinet met Hercules (Bataafse dapperheid en moed) die de juk van de aristocratie breekt. Onder zijn voet vertreedt hij een kroon en ketting. Bovenaan Nederlandse en Franse vlaggen. Onderdeel van een serie van dertien platen.
