Omschrijving: De Vernietiging van de Oude Constitutie, allegorische decoratie opgericht op de Botermarkt te Amsterdam bij het Alliantiefeest op 19 juni 1795. Decoratie in de vorm van de ruïne van een gotische kapel, op het centrale chassinet draait de Nijd aan het rad van de aristocratie dat een molensteen in beweging brengt. Illustratie in het Bataafsche revolutie- en alliantie almanach voor 1796.
