Description
English: Yes, of course selfmade extension cords are the main reason of fires due to investigations done by national electrical safety board :-))))))) But this statement is exactly on the contrary, cause was thought up to justify itself. In fact all of those accidents are not investigated at all, but money were transfred for investigation.
  • So, let's see manufactured and certified extension cord (which was bought in decent storey). Brown wire keeped on one small thread (but it was intended to pass 16A), where wire gauge was too small to satisfy heating. In this place wire heated quite long time and caused corrosion. So, if this power strip will be used for a long time to supply powerful load without any supervision (like whole night or while home owners are missing), it could cause quite serious fire. But status quo is granted to this power strip.
