Description

Hi guys - great job - truly enjoyable commentary.

re: the photo I am submitting. Interesting to see how alliances are mercurial, transitory, and weasel-like - this shot is from the inaugural Progressive Democrats of America Convention in Roxbury, MA in 2004.

Howard Dean held Dennis Kucinich's arm into the air and said "this is the only true candidate that represents America".

Now the DNC / DLC is shucking and jiving doing what it can to eradicate this "real candidate" - first they were complicit in denigrating his candidacy, offered no support for his campaign, and are now hoping to see him unseated from the 10th District of Ohio.
It's a shame corporate interests really did win out, serving platitudes and puddle depth thought so that what we hear from voters in the media echo chamber reflects, as i said, corporate interests.
Like the Black Agenda Report referred to Dennis Kucinich, he was truly the only candidate, the "black candidate", the represented interests of women and minorities alike most consistently.
It would be nice to see sites such as yours do a post mortem on why Biden, Dodd, (forget Richardson), and Kucinich were prevented from gaining any real traction.
Lastly, I refer all to Christopher Hitchens' look at the Clinton focused book "No One Left To Lie to"...it speaks volumes. (Follow up with Sydney Blumenthal's book/sad revistionist memoir, and Hillary's "Living History" if you'd like some context).
Anyway, I can't believe I am saying this after 20 years of actively covering politics as a reporter and analyst for many radio stations and print publications (and as a political junkie), but aside from hoping that Ron Paul continues to make a dent in GOP votes, I am so bored an uninterested because the outcome will really mean nothing more than a continuation of status quo, empty talk, and double dealing...
"Change" might be the overused phrase of this election cycle, but it's certainly something that no one can expect. The true winners will be the military industrial complex, everyone from CE, Exxon Mobil, KBR, Blackwater, and America's creditors.
The slow motion death of a nation, all before our very eyes. Sad.
Not an edited an articulate letter to you for certain, but I had to hammer it out.

P.S. if you'd like my participation in coming broadcasts, I'd be happy to. I can indicate specifically what companies / media outlets I work for if you like. I have covered every presidential race (and federal election in Canada also) since 1992. Not to mention numerous other conventions, meetings, protests, etc., As well as countless interviews with experts from Robert Young Pelton (www.comebackalive.com) to Ambassador Wilson to Tom Hayden et al. I am 32 now.
