Summary

English: Dent Gate Lane Dent Gate Lane is a farm track at this point (although the name continues along the public road south of Copley). West of Gibbsneese, the track (which is only a public footpath, not a bridleway) turns northwest and starts to climb towards a characteristically whitewashed Raby estate building on the top of the ridge. Despite the slope being south-facing, it still retains its recently fallen snow in the bright sunshine, crunchy underfoot on frozen ground, though on land only a few tens of metres lower, the snow has gone completely. |
