| Description |
English: Derby Friargate Goods Warehouse, 1972 The goods yard at Friargate closed in 1967 and the line closed completely the following year. The site was soon overgrown. In the foreground is a London North Eastern Railway trespass notice, bolted to a length of rail. The wooden lucam (or covered hoist) also appears in Stephen Richards’ SK3436 : Former railway warehouse, Great Northern Road, Derby (2012) and A-M-Jervis's SK3436 : Lucums: going, going, gone. |
