Devils Mountain, San Jose, Mindoro

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Devil’s Mountain has a unique shape. People say the peaks look like horns. While observing from afar the rugged pointed rock formations resemble the flames of the Hell, the reason it was named by Americans during the colonial period - Devil's Mountain. The mountain is called Inagdanan among the indigenous peoples of the area belonging to the Gubatnon and Hanunoo tribes. That name pertains to legendary story that such mountain was the stairway to heaven of the Mangyan couple deities, Amalahi and Inabay. You can also say that it resembles the stalagmites of caves. It’s about 1,362 hectares of unadulterated nature views. It’s also about 450 meters in height. You can go on picture-taking adventures near it by going to Arapay Falls.
