English: Devonshire Royal Hospital Originally built in the 18th century as a quadrangle of stables for visitors to Buxton, converted (with the huge dome over the former stable yard, 154 feet in diameter and at the time the biggest in the world) into a hydropathic hospital in the 1870s, and now part of the Buxton campus of the University of Derby. |
