Description
Deutsch: Die evangelische St. Nikolaikirche ist ein unter Denkmalschutz stehender Sakralbau am Alten Markt in Potsdam, die in den Jahren von 1830 bis 1837 nach Plänen von Karl Friedrich Schinkel errichtet wurde. Für die von Schinkel entworfene Kanzel im rechten Chorraum schuf der Bildhauer August Kiß die Reliefbilder aus Zinkguss mit Szenen aus der Bergpredigt. Auf der Vorderseite ist der vor Menschen predigende Jesus Christus dargestellt. Die Reliefs auf den Seiten zeigen ihn im Garten Getsemani vor der Verhaftung und die Auferstehung.
