English: Meier's urn in the gardens of Dieskau Castle (Kabelsketal, district of Saalekreis, Saxony-Anhalt), memorial to the Halle University professor Georg Friedrich Meier, considered to be the first memorial to a commoner in the public space in Germany. 2008 reconstitution of the 1778 original.
Deutsch: Meier-Urne im Schloßpark Dieskau (Gemeinde Kabelsketal), Denkmal für den Halleschen Universitätsprofessor Georg Friedrich Meier, gilt als erstes Denkmal für einen Bürgerlichen im öffentlichen Raum in Deutschland. Neuanfertigung von 2008 nach dem Original von 1778. |
