| Description |
English: Disused Primitive Methodist Chapel - porch The circular area of exposed bricks above the porch indicates that a plaque, once affixed here and presumably bearing the date of when this chapel was built, has recently been removed. This small building, situated right beside Heydon Road but hardly noticed by passing traffic because it is almost hidden behind surrounding shrubbery, once used to be a Primitive Methodist chapel. Both an Independent as well as a Primitive Methodist chapel are mentioned in William White's "History, Gazetteer, and Directory of Norfolk 1845". The present owner of the former Primitive Methodist chapel - dilapidated but there are signs of recent attempts at some repair and restoration work - has applied for planning permission for conversion into holiday accommodation . |
