Summary[edit]
DescriptionDisused water treatment works - geograph.org.uk - 619276.jpg |
English: Disused water treatment works These structures formed part of the old water treatment works for Glenluce. From the remains, it appears that water was drawn from a small dam on the Lady Burn, run through gravel filtration and then stored in concrete tanks. When the public water supply for the county switched to the new Penwhirn Reservoir in the 1950s, they fell into disuse. |
