| Description |
Français : La localité a été peuplée par des chasseurs-cueilleurs il y a 100 siècles. Les Touaregs créent la ville de Djanet au Moyen-Âge et le cheikh Amoud Ibn Mokhtar choisit alors l'oasis comme territoire. Les Français essaient de monter à l'assaut de Djanet en 1880. Le cheikh Amoud combat la mission Flatters pour la première fois le 16 février 1881, mais celui-ci s'enfuit en 1923 face à l'armée française équipée d'armes récentes. L'oasis de Djanet est nommée Fort-Charlet de 1915 à 1962, en mémoire au capitaine Édouard Charlet qui s'empara de Djanet le 27 novembre 1911. |
