First System to get fusion reactions from an ICF compression

Summary[edit]

Description
English: A schematic showing how the double bounce illumination system worked. Beams would pass through pinholes into a mirror chamber. Those beams would reflect and strike a pellet of DT fusion fuel from different directions, compressing it to ignite fusion. This was the first system to get fusion reactions from an ICF compression and it was built by a private fusion company, KMS Fusion, in 1974.
