Description
English: Dragon boating is a spectacular water sport that has its origin in Asia. There are sixteen to twenty paddlers in the twelve meter long boat, the pace is led by the drummer and the course is determined by the helmsman. The dragon boats are traditionally equipped with a dragon head and tail, as is the case with Race The Dragon.
Nederlands: De drakenbootsport is een spectaculaire watersport die haar oorsprong in Azië kent. In de twaalf meter lange boot zitten zestien tot twintig peddelaars, wordt het tempo aangevoerd door de trommelaar en de koers bepaald door de stuurman. De drakenboten zijn traditioneel met drakenkop- en staart uitgevoerd, zo ook bij Race The Dragon.
