Summary[edit]

Description
English: Drumboe Forest This Nature Trail on the banks of the River Finn, was formerly part of the Hayes Estate, and planted with Silver Fir, European Larch, and Lime in the 19th century. In the early 20th century the Hayes Estate was acquired by the Irish Land Commission and the forested area subsequently given over to Coillte, The Irish Forestry Board. The main species of tree include Norway and Sitka Spruce, together with broad leaf trees such as oak, beech and sycamore.
