Summary[edit]

Description A Nepali woman sweeps dhan (un-hulled rice) in front of a mandir (small temple) complex. People typically bring sacks of rice at the end of a harvest as an offering. The temple hosts a big soiree and everyone eats part of the rice. The rest is used in other ceremonies to feed the on-site priests and the poor.
