| Description |
English: Dunvegan woodland from Cnoc Mòr View from close to the top of the heathery moorland on Cnoc Mòr.
To the south of the forest track (square NG2549 clear on the OS map, but indistinct in this picture) in Gleann Airigh Beathaig, there is thickly growing mixed woodland. The plantation to the north of the track has long-since been felled, with only a few small patches of trees remaining. No trees grew in the area until the last decade of the 18th Century when General MacLeod began planting. In the great hurricane of 1921, over 20,000 trees were blown down.
