The agency’s Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research promotes strategic investments to build science and engineering programs research and development capacity in 31 states and jurisdictions. NSF Deputy Director Cora B. Marrett welcomed the participants, noting that the event was a unique opportunity to hear first-hand from EPSCOR leaders about programs and successes. She also said EPSCoR helps ensure that every state, territory and commonwealth has an opportunity not only to develop a robust science and engineering base, but to boost U.S. competitiveness.
