| Inscription | ZUR ERINNERUNG Hier stand die Villa der jüdischen Kaufmannsfamilie Klebe. Max Klebe, geboren in Nesselröden, lebte seit 1880 in Eisenach. Nach dem 1. Weltkrieg erwarb er das Haus Goethestraße 48, unter Zwang wurde es 1938 an einen Eisenacher Arzt verkauft. Seit 1940 wurden die in Eisenach lebenden Juden an diesem Ort zusammengepfercht. Max Klebe, 1942 deportiert, starb 1944 in Theresienstadt. ZUM GEDENKEN An 58 Eisenacher Juden, deren Leidensweg hier begann. Sie wurden am 09. Mai 1942 von diesem Haus deportiert. KEINER VON IHNEN KEHRTE ZURÜCK. |
