Description
English: CLUB BUILT IN 1926 AS A GATHERING PLACE FOR NEWARK'S BUSINESS LEADERS. DESIGNED BY THE NEWARK FIRM OF GUILBERT AND BETELLE, THIS BUILDING EXEMPLIFIES THE HIGH QUALITY OF EARLY TWENTIETH CENTURY COMMERCIAL AND CIVIC ARCHITECTURE. IT IS NOW THE HOME OF THE NEW JERSEY HISTORICAL SOCIETY WHO MOVED HERE TO 52 PARK PLACE IN 1997 FROM SEVERAL PREVIOUS LOCATIONS.
