Description
English: SZB Be 4/4 26 with a driving trailer of the series 81–83 on the dual-gauge rail track in Ittigen.
Deutsch: Der SZB Be 4/4 26 (grün/créme) mit einem Steuerwagen der Serie 81-83 auf dem Dreischienengleis in Ittigen. An diesem regnerischen 16. März 1974 fand eine Exkursion des TMZ ins Worblental statt. Am 25. Mai 1974 fuhren die blau/weissen Züge der VBW zum letzten Mal von Ittigen nach links weg den Hang hinan ins Eyfeld, zum Wankdorf und auf Tramschienen bis zum Kornhausplatz. Am Tag danach übernahmen die von VBW und SZB gemeinsam beschafften orangen Be 4/8 "Mandarinli" den Verkehr ins Worblental. Die Fahrleitungsspannung wurde auf 1200 V erhöht. Am 10. Oktober 1985 wurde die einspurige Strecke von Ittigen Richtung Worblaufen durch eine doppelspurige Strecke entlang der Worble ersetzt. Seither verlassen die Züge den Bahnhof Ittigen in einer leichten Linkskurve statt geradeaus.
