Summary[edit]
DescriptionEarth and Moon size experiment 2.jpg |
English: Conspiracy theorists complain about the different sizes of the Earth and the Moon from NASA pictures and claim they are fake due to that. However, the varying size proportions can easily explained by the result of perspective and angular size. This experiment simulates two NASA pictures using a basketball and a spherical sculpture from Logroño, Spain. This picture was taken far away from the basketball and the sculpture so perspective doesn't affect the sizes of both spherical objects. The sculpture represents Earth and the basketball the Moon.
