English: East Manley bridge, Grand Western Canal. Looking through East Manley bridge at the wharf of Mid Devon Hireboats and Moorings. This was on the earliest section of the canal, completed in 1814 as part of a grand scheme for shipping to avoid the perilous route around Cornwall, but like many things it was overambitious ! See 1117181. |
