Summary[edit]

Description
English: On 11 March 2021 the Wadumbah dance troupe performed on Whadjuk Noongar/traditional land outside the WA Premier's office in Boorloo/Perth to urge the government to cease all native logging. They used traditional dance and music to convey the importance of preserving the forests. The performance highlighted the role of Indigenous communities in protecting the environment and showcased the strength of Indigenous culture. It was a powerful reminder of the need to protect our natural world for future generations. On the 8th September 2021 the Western Australian government announced that native forest logging will cease in Western Australia at the beginning of 2024.
