"Podobizna francouzské princezny s atributy bohyně Diany je připsána Jeanu-Marcovi Nattierovi, který vstoupil ve známost jako jeden z nejznámějších tvůrců portrétů francouzské aristokratické společnosti první poloviny 18. století – svého času působil jako dvorní portrétista na dvoře Ludvíka XV. Podání Louise Françoise se přimyká k tradici zobrazení římské bohyně Diany coby patronky lovu. Princezna drží v jedné ruce luk, v druhé šíp. Nad pravým ramenem lze postřehnout zavěšený toulec. Její účes doplňuje drobný srpek luny. Portrétovaná je oděná v dobovém kostýmu blankytné barvy bez mnoha příkras, má dokonalou pleť, pohled si vyměňuje s divákem a na rtech se jí vykresluje lehký úsměv. Tlumená barevná škála pozadí podtrhuje atmosférickou lehkost, která prosvítá z celého obrazu. Jde o krásné, navýsost kultivované dílo vysoké hodnoty s typickými rysy rokokové malby." [1]
