Français : Chez les Yoruba, les masques des sociétés d’Egun sont constitués d'un ensemble de panneaux de tissus bigarrés et richement ornés. Au niveau du visage, une sorte de boîte maintient le textile et un filet permet au danseur de voir.Les mascarades Egungun insistent sur la présence ancestrale.
Par leur danse lente et majestueuse pendant laquelle tous les panneaux du costume s'écartent et volent, ils invitent les ancêtres à être présents parmi les humains.
