Summary[edit]

Description A vial of einsteinium-254 that was produced by Oak Ridge National Laboratory to support research on superheavy elements. With the High Flux Isotope Reactor and Radiochemical Engineering Development Center, ORNL is one of only two facilities in the world capable of producing californium, einsteinium, curium, berkelium and fermium in significant quantities.
