Description
Español: Vista de la base de la farola conocida en Málaga como El Sonajero, en la plaza de la Biznaga del barrio 4 de Diciembre, distrito Cruz de Humilladero, Málaga, España. Se trata de una farola eléctrica de hierro fundido, de carácter histórico por haber sido una de las primeras en iluminarse con luz eléctrica en la ciudad de Málaga. Fue construida en 1901 en la herrería de los hermanos Herrero de Málaga, según el diseño del arquitecto Tomás Brioso Mapelli. Originalmente estuvo emplazada en la plaza de la Constitución, desde 1901 a 1959, año en que fue trasladada a su actual emplazamiento en la plaza de la Biznaga.[1] Fue retirada en 2010 para su restauración, volviendo de nuevo a la plaza en el año 2012.[2]. Desde 2002, se encuentra incluida en el catálogo del patrimonio municipal de bienes protegidos.[3]
