Description
Español: El tucán pico iris (Ramphastos sulfuratus) es una especie de ave piciforme de la familia de los tucanes que puebla las selvas entre el sur mexicano y Colombia.

Tiene una longitud de 42 a 55 cm (17 a 22 pulgadas), por lo general pesa alrededor de 380 a 500 g (13-18 oz). Su pico es largo en comparación con el tamaño del tucán, con una longitud de hasta 16 cm. La cola mide la mitad e incluso en algunos la longitud de su cuerpo. Sus alas son cortas y redondeadas. Es de color negro en todo el cuerpo, pero en parte de la cara, el cuello y el pecho es amarillo. Alrededor de sus ojos tiene unas ojeras color verde oliva. En un borde de su pecho es de color rojo. Muda sus plumas una vez por año. Sus patas son de color azul pálido.

Algo que caracteriza bastante a este tucán, es lo colorido que es su largo pico. Por lo colorido que es su pico es que este tucán recibe su nombre común.
