Description
Eesti: Joonisel on kujutatud kolme elektronlaviini ja nendega kaasneva elektrivoolu (i) ajalist käiku. Katoodist väljunud elektron tekitab sekundaarelektrone, mis põhjustavad omakorda vabade elektronide tekkimise. Juhul kui laviinis tekkinud valguskiirguse footon põhjustab katoodist elektroodi väljalöögi võib ka see tekitada uue laviini ja omakorda footoni või näiteks positiivse iooni tekkimisega põhjustada katoodi materjalist elektroni väljatõmbamise ja laviini tekkimise. Elektrivoolu impulsi suurus sõltub gaasi läbinud laengukandjate arvust. Suurim osa laengukandjaid tekib anoodilähedases ruumis. Footonid liiguvad väga palju kiiremini kui positiivsed ioonid ja põhjustavad esimesed sekundaarlaviinid.
