Description
English: Portrait of Wesleyan Methodist missionary Eliza Leigh White (11 July 1809 - 28 February 1883) founder and president of the Auckland Ladies Christian Association, playing a leading role in establishing the Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) in Auckland. Supported women's suffrage. Originally placed at the Māngungu Mission House in the Hokianga when she arrived from England in 1830.
