Summary[edit]

Description
English: Ella, Sri Lanka. Ella Valley (Gap) in Sri Lanka is at about 1000m elevation. The hills are covered with cloud forest and rain forest. There are endemic trees, shrubs, and herbs that can only be found in this ecoregion. Mossy forests usually develop on the saddles of mountains, where moisture by settling clouds is retained.
