Emblem of the volunteer cavalry squadron of Poland

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Emblem of the Volunteer Cavalry Squadron (Polish: Dywizjon Jazdy Ochotniczej) or Death Hussars Squadron (Dywizjon Huzarów Śmierci), a cavalry unit of the Polish Army of the Second Republic of Poland and the Army of Central Lithuania fighting the Bolsheviks. This cavalry unit fought in the Polish-Bolshevik War (Polish-Soviet War 1919-21). It gained a reputation for never being defeated throughout its existence. Formed in 1920 with two squadrons, it consisted of soldiers from various cavalry regiments and volunteers. The squadron saw action in battles, capturing enemy machine guns and cannons. It was disbanded in 1921.
