Summary[edit]

Description
English: Engine house, Nantymwyn mine Remains of the engine house built around 1880 and believed to have housed a steam-powered beam pumping and winding engine working on Angred shaft. Historians appear to agree that the steam engine was an extravagance on this mine and it is clear that the cost of coal to run the engine was a severe drain on the mine's resources.
