Summary[edit]

Description This stream valley leads to the Historic Entrance to Mammoth Cave, the longest known cave on Earth. As of March 2019, 412 miles of passages have been explored and mapped. The mouth of the cave is downhill, to the lower left. The park's visitor center is uphill. The creek itself is unnamed, strangely. Before becoming a park, the trail used to be a county road and cars could drive through.
