Description
English: Envelope of geodesics on an oblate ellipsoid. Vital statistics: f = 1/10, φ1 = −30°, λ1 = 0°, α1 = multiples of 3°, radii of geodesic circles = s0 + k(s1 − s0)/2, where 0 ≤ k ≤ 6, s0 is distance to conjugate point, and s1 is distance to antipodal point, orthographic projection from φ = 30°, λ = 180°. Geodesics computed with Matlab Central package 50605. See also
