Description
Svenska: Eophyton ur underkambrisk sandsten från Lugnåsberget, Mariestads kommun, f.d. Skaraborgs län, Västergötland, Västra Götalands län, Sverige. Eophyton troddes tidigt vara fossil av väster, men visades av Alfred Gabriel Nathorst 1874 vara fossila släpspår. Lugnåsberget är ett lågt platåberg, som saknar diabashätta, och ett av Västgötabergen.
English: Eophyton from lower cambrian sandstone from Lugnåsberget (i.e. "The Lugnås mountain"), Mariestad municipality, former Skaraborg county, Västergötland, Västra Götaland county, Sweden. Eophyton was earlier believed to be plant fossils, but Alfred Gabriel Nathorst showed in 1874 them to be trace fossils. Lugnåsberget is a low table mountain.
