| Description |
English: Headley Road bus stop. Chalk Pit Road bus stop and seat on Headley Road: Chalk Pit Road is the turning on the left just in front of the white house in the background. The stop is served by Epsom Buses route E5 from Langley Vale to Epsom town centre and onto West Ewell. The bus stop pole is an old London Transport concrete model. The stop's name on the national bus stop database is "Woodcote Park, Chalkpit Road". Next to the street lamp is a public footpath sign pointing down Greenslade Avenue, a private estate road. This is racing yard territory: there is a yard to the right of the stop, and another behind the white house. And Chalk Pit Road has been closed to through traffic, and is now mainly used by horses in training en route to the gallops on Epsom and Walton Downs. |
